Dusk

This painting is of a building on Main Street in Rising Sun, Indiana.  The words on the side of it have been preserved to add to the history of the place. It is early evening. The streetlights have come on, illuminating the buildings and the street. Two cars are parked. Possibly their owners are inside closing their businesses for the evening.

Such a great cloudy sky! I love the feeling of evening with the lighted store contrasted by the darker street and trees. As always, I can tell you love to include cars in your paintings.

I really like the blue colors that you see when it’s getting dark. You certainly have an eye for capturing the light and dark to make an interesting painting. The words on the building are really cool, too. One of my favorite paintings!

This painting is neat. I love the feeling I get of dusk in a small town.

I love your evening art work. All thou I am not an artist, this picture makes me want to walk down the side walk and look in the windows. It makes me want to lift my head and look at the nite ski, take a deep breath and enjoy the silence of the evening.
